“Rise and rise again until lambs become lions.” – Robin Hood, the Movie, 2010

Imprinted on Robin Hood’s newfound sword, the words haunted him to the core of his being. When asked by Little John and Will Scarlet what it meant, Robin Hood explained something akin to Winston Churchill and our American founding fathers, “It means never give up.” Rise, and rise again, until the docile lambs become conquering lions.

Being a lamb isn’t wrong! Being one of God’s lambs is mandatory. Yet, after character is built, it’s then time to grow into a formidable opponent in the hand of the Lord. Leif Hetland says that, “the lamb represents alignment and the lion represents assignment.” We align ourselves with Jesus in a “gentle and humble” way, then we are positioned to undo the works of the “devil who prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour” (I Pet. 5:8). We undo the works of the devil by becoming greater lions—lions joined with the Lion of the tribe of Judah!

Jesus is the great “paradox.” John saw this in a vision, “Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing in the center of the throne…” (Rev. 5:6). Get this: a lamb slain, yet standing. How can this be? Obviously, Jesus died and now the resurrection has brought Him life. He is now “the Lion…who has triumphed” (vs. 5).

Papa is doing something! He’s changing, awakening, shaking, and shifting the very fiber of our souls for the little lambs to become lions. The day of comfortable Christianity, arranged by man, is over. Papa wants to show you His comfort, His future, His love, His peace, His joy, and more! He has destiny written all over you and it is better than anything you can imagine! His love is more than we can think or ask!

To be a lion is to know who you are and what you are doing! Are you ready to join the lionhearted odyssey?

  1. Selah! The sound of agreement is what I say to the event. God is looking for places of birthing and places of habitation. What you value you can access. Sound is made to access what you value. So time is for the lion to roar within us. Sound to release the things of God. There is creativity within us that needs to be released. Without piercing there can be no sound. Prepare ye the way of the Lord!

  2. Dwight, it is interesting as you pointed out in your blog – “Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing in the center of the throne…” (Rev. 5:6). Get this: a lamb slain, yet standing. How can this be?”.

We once again in Rev 20:12 see something to the same thing where it reads, “And I saw the dead…standing..” As you pointed out with the Lamb, there’s resurrection, life and triumph. In Rev 20, it’s spiritually dead standing pending judgment and the second death.

As Lambs and the alignment you quoted Leif Hetland about, we as saints undergo character building training as servants – the equipping of the saints. Then there comes the time that those saints are ready for the 3rd “D” of Deliverance, Development and “Deployment” as lions with assignment.” It’s only the trained servants the Father ‘arms’ for the battle. Gen 14:14 – “Now when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his .. trained servants..” (NKJV).

There is a large Army of Trained Servants out here ready for the Father to lead us to free our captive Brothers & Sisters, and continue the cycle of Fruit bearing Fruit with captives being set free in deliverance (Saved, Delivered, Healed and Set Free), then developed in the Eph 4:11-12 fashion, and then they themselves also are deployed as Lions on assingment for other captives.

But this large Army out here is so sick & tired of dead religion, legalistic people posing as leaders, and the unrightous resurgence of the Ultra Shepherd movement… that many of them have lost heart in the ability of us all coming together.

I agree with you that the day of comfortable Christianity, arranged by man, is over. Its been long over for this discouraged Army and we all meet in homes. We need Papa to show us His comfort, His future, His love, His peace, His joy, and more from a mature leader.

There are many ready to join the lionhearted odyssey! So please, bring on your book and continue to Lead, Deliver, Develope tender humble Lambs into Deployed Trained Lions. See you Sunday Sept 30th… or more properly- Sunday Tishri 14th, Erve Sukkot.
